There's no pressure to fit in or be anything other than yourself.

SHOUT is a weekly group for LGBTQ+ young people aged 16–25. It’s a relaxed, welcoming space to make friends, get creative, join workshops or simply sit quietly. Most importantly, it’s a safe place to be yourself — even if you’re still figuring that out.

I learnt things that I didn't know existed. I feel safe to be my chaotic self without judgement or bullying

It's a really accepting community that's willing to learn when introduced to new things, there's always someone to have a yap with and it's an easy way to meet others from the queer community in Hull

Young people's voices

At the heart of SHOUT are the LGBTQ+ young people who shape it. Their experiences, creativity, and conversations show the impact of having a safe, welcoming space to be themselves and feel heard.
