We're absolutely thrilled to announce some exciting news for The Warren and our music programmes!
The Warren Youth Project has been shortlisted for the Flare Audio Music and Culture for Wellbeing Award at the Nordoff & Robbins Northern Music Awards! This recognition celebrates organisations across the North that are making a significant difference in people's lives through music and culture.
Being nominated for this prestigious award is an incredible honour that validates the work we've been doing with young people in Hull through our various music initiatives. For years, we've seen firsthand how music can transform young lives—building confidence, developing skills, fostering connections, and supporting mental wellbeing.
This nomination recognises the dedication of our team, the talent and enthusiasm of the young people we work with, and the power of music as a tool for positive change.
At The Warren, music has always been at the heart of what we do. Our programmes include:
Nordoff & Robbins is the UK's largest music therapy charity, dedicated to using the power of music to enrich the lives of people affected by life-limiting illness, isolation, or disability. Their Northern Music Awards celebrate and recognise outstanding contributions to music across the North of England.
The awards ceremony will be held later this year, and we're looking forward to representing Hull and the incredible creative talent of our young people on this prestigious platform.
Whether we win or not, this nomination is already a tremendous achievement and a wonderful acknowledgment of the positive impact that music and creativity can have on young people's wellbeing.
We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who has supported our music programmes over the years—from our dedicated staff and volunteers to our funders, partners, and most importantly, the amazing young people who fill The Warren with their creativity, passion, and music every day.
This nomination belongs to all of you!
Stay tuned for updates on our social media channels about the upcoming awards ceremony, and feel free to drop by The Warren to learn more about our music programmes and how you can get involved.
