Vacancies at The Warren Young People’s Project (The Achieve Project)

Post Title: UKSPF Programme Worker (Part Time).

  • 17.5 Hours per week.
  • Salary: £31,702 Pro-rata (£15,851 actual).
  • 12 Month Fixed term with possible extension.

The UKSPF Project Worker will be part of The Achieve Project team to deliver The Warren’s successful support programme for young people aged 16-29. This project aims to support a diverse range of young people into further opportunities to build skills and confidence.

Please note that this position requires a minimum of 2 years youth work or similarly relevant experience.

Job Purpose:

  • To work with a diverse range of young people from a range of backgrounds and abilities to support them towards education, employment, soft skills or enhanced well-being.
  • To be a team player and to contribute to the existing team skills and dynamics.
  • Offering professional and appropriate support to young people on a range of issues affecting their lives to overcome barriers short or longer-terms and provide wrap-around support, specifically identifying and meeting the needs of young people who have become disengaged from education, training and employment.
  • To liaise and build constructive partnerships with local organisations, providers, businesses and other partners to establish genuine and proactive opportunities for young people’s progression routes.
  • To prepare and implement support work, such as one to one appointments, workshops, vocational skills development, personal and social development and activities as required.
  • To ensure that delivery of the programme meets the needs of the young people they serve, whilst also complying with the contractual requirements of the respective funding agencies.
  • To be responsible for ensuring that all monitoring, evaluation and quality assurance requirements are completed to the highest standard and by agreed deadlines.
  • To be committed to The Warren’s ethos of empowerment in working with young people, colleagues, partners and outside agencies.
  • To work within all Safeguarding Policies and Procedures and any other relevant legislation within the organisation.
