Forged brings together all of The Warren’s creative activity under one youth-led programme. From one-off workshops to long-term projects, Forged gives young people the space, support, and freedom to explore creativity on their own terms.
Leg Up Fund
Are you a creative young person who is constantly asking: “If only I had (this) I could do (that)?”
We are asking for young people to pitch to us what they need to get a leg up in their creative practice. This could be a piece of equipment, an instrument, covering costs to diversify skills or purchasing materials to start a small creative business. Whatever is being requested must be linked to a creative skill and can cost anything between £100-£500.
You Must:
Be aged between 16-25
Live in a HU postcode.
If you are successful, we will pay for the resources you need to make your creative ideas fly! We will be accepting applications throughout July and will be making decisions by September. I liked the sessions because I got to focus on something positive and not get into trouble
I have learned creative skills in gigging and improving my confidence when I do gigs, but also networking and learning how to communicate with other musicians in the area outside of Warren Records. I have also learned instrument maintenance, how to look after my instruments
Going to a WTFIT session pushed me out of my comfort zone and taught me that I can do things that are a surprise to me and the world will not end.
