IN OUR OWN WRITE
Covid-19 has isolated all of us - and made it really difficult for any of us to be heard. They say it’s good to talk - it’s even better to be heard. Mostly we’re only hearing the voices of politicians and journalists. It’s important that we hear directly from the people to understand how they are coping or struggling and why or how they are trying to make sense of all this. That’s why we’ve commissioned some of our young people to create a series of spoken word pieces called In Their Own Write, that explain how it is for them.
Three Minute Heroes is a campaign from The Warren Youth Project that supports young people to use creative writing and music to talk openly, confidently and safely about what’s on their mind.
Three Minute Heroes is dedicated to ensuring young people have their voices heard #hearmeout
Right now, bands and musician's across our region are putting the final touches to the SECOND Three Minute Heroes album of songs whose lyrics have been written exclusively by young people aged 14-20 – that album will be released worldwide through Warren Records FREE to young people everywhere. The first album is available now to listen to here.
